Sources said, Zilla School named after the eminent freedom fighter Chandra Sekhar Behera is one of the premier educational institution in the region. The students passed from the institution have brought glory to the institution for their commendable work in various fields. But over the past few years the institution has been facing series of problem because of the government’s apathetic attitude. The institution does not have a regular head-master and runs with acting teacher over past few years.
The land belongs to the school has been under illegal occupation of few nearby habitants due to the callousness of the school administration. Taking the benefit of the loose administration, criminal elements enter the school premises even during school hours and create vandalism inside the school despite the protest of the teachers.. “We have made several complaints with the police but thing remained unchanged. Incase of any complaint with the police, we get regular threatening from the criminals and vested interest-people. So we have to remain silence”, a teacher of the institution alleged.
The old boys have decided to bring the issue with the higher authority to get a solution in the matter. “The dignity and scantily of the institution have been slowly ruining because of the poor administrative support. We try to bring the problems of the institution before the competent authority and district administration for a meaningful solution”, the secretary of the 79 CSB Zillaites Sunil Kumar Panda told.
“It is a noble idea and we thank the old students who cultivated such an idea. This will encourage the students as well as the teachers of the institution”, RS Padhy, senior teacher told thanking the effort of the old boys.
