accident mars the drream of a teacher

The happiness of becoming a government school teacher did not last long as he was killed in an accident soon after his joining in the government boys’ high school Burla on Wednesday. The accident that occurred when the motor bike collided heads on with a car coming from the opposite side at Sriram-vihar near university campus, 15 km away from here, also took the life of his colleague coming along with him to share his happy moment. The Burla police registered a case and arrested the car driver.
Police sources said, deceased identified as Mahesh Prasad Biswal (25) of Attabira was appointed as teacher in government Boys high School Burla. He came on Wednesday to join his service. Earlier he was working in a private school of Attabira. He along with his previous school’s colleague Giridhari Pradhan was returning from Burla on a motor cycle after his joining in the new job. They were thinking to celebrate the occasion but the fate was some thing else for them. When they were passing through the Sambalpur University, a car coming from the opposite side dashed their bike killing Mahesh on the spot. Giridhari, who was severely injured in the accident, succumbed at VSS Medical College Hospital soon he was admitted. Police rushed to the spot and arrested the car driver Binod Jain. “We arrest the driver of the car and seized the vehicle. A case has been registered and handed over the dead bodies to their family after conducting autopsy”, B K Nayak, the inspector of Burla police station told.
