“When such a proposal was received we agreed to it after consulting the senior citizens of Burla town and university employees. Xavier’s being country’s one of the best educational institution every one should feel proud for the efforts of the university authority”, the VC Prof. Arun Pujari told. However he did not give any satisfactory answer on the proposal of setting of a central school inside the campus even though latter was received prior to the Xavier. “Central school proposal did not come during my tenure so I cannot say why it was not implemented than,” Prof Pujari said reluctantly.

On the other hand, the local political leaders and senior citizens expressed concern over the attitude of the Sambalpur University for not availing the opportunity of establishment of a central school inside the campus. “There is no problem for establishment of Xavier as it is one of the best educational organization of the country. But when a central school proposal was there by the ministry of HRD, I do not think any logic of the university for not taking that opportunity immediately”, eminent citizen and senate member Karunakar Supakar said.
“It was definitely a mistake on the part of the university authority for not availing the opportunity. I suggest the university authority to peruse the matter once again”, the former MP and eminent citizen Bhawani Sankar Hota told.
When Contacted the Sambalpur collector PK Patanik expressed his ignorance about the central school proposal of the ministry of HRD. “I have no knowledge about such a proposal of central school in the university campus. The university authority had even not informed me about this. “However action will be initiated for establishment of the proposed central school incase we get any positive response from the ministry of HRD”, Collector Mr. PK Patnaik told.
