engineering students of WO want employement on priority

The engineering students of western part of the state have demanded employment in various industrial houses set up in the region on priority basis. The students under the aegis of ‘western Orissa engineering students’ association’ met the district administration to put forth their demand the activists have also submitted a memorandum to the district administration addressed to Chief Minister in support of their demands.
“Local employment does not mean only clerical and lower categories post but the industrial houses are trying satisfying the local people only with few such posts. now we demand employment to the engineering graduates of the locality. They should be provided employment on priority basis by the industrial houses’ coordinator of the association Sourav Ranjan Mahapatra told.
About 100 of engineering students studying in various engineering institution across the state have assembled here and met the ADM to put forth their demand of local employment in the industrial houses. The memorandum includes the demand of setting up engineering collages in western Orissa, statewide holiday for Nuakhai and sital sasti and preventive measures on college ragging.
“We met the ADM who assured us to take immediate step to recommend the government for a final decision in this matter”, vice-president of the association JK Pradhan told. (the end)
