The standing committee of state assembly has assured to expedite the proposal of giving autonomy to status to
“Shortage of faculty members and technical staff becomes the real problem of the institution. we assure to expedite the autonomy issue as we feel every thing will be set right once the institution will be made autonomous”, the chairman of the committee and legislature Bishnu Das told.
Sources said the committee visits the district to assess the health and social welfare programme that are undergoing in the district. The committee comprises of the legislature Sipra Mallick, Sarojini Hemram, Adikanda Seth, Dr. Pramod Mallick and Hitesh Bagarti have visited
The members expressed concern over the volume of encroachment inside the campus. ‘Unauthorized occupation inside the campus is growing due to loose administration. We have directed the authority to take strict action against the illegal occupants’, Mr. Das said.
The committee also visited one roadside school to assess the position of the mid-day-meal schemes. Later they review the situation of the district by sharing their experience with district level officials in the DRDA conference hall.
“The members have discussed with the district level officials of various department before they leave for Bhubneswar in the evening”, the collector (Sambalpur) PK Patnaik told.
